(Call for papers)

To promote academic exchange on research achievements in translation and interpreting and to enhance the international influence of the China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese (CACSEC), the Professional Committee of Translation and Interpreting (PCTI) of CACSEC will hold an international symposium at Chonnam National University in the Republic of Korea, from July 25 to 30, 2026. The symposium is organized by PCTI, hosted by Chonnam National University, and co-organized by Translation Research and Teaching (a CSSCI-listed journal). Scholars and experts from around the world in the fields of translation, interpreting, and cognitive studies are cordially invited to gather at Chonnam National University for this major academic event.

Participants who plan to attend the conference without submitting an abstract are also required to complete the registration form and submit it to PCTI2026@163.com. Registration fees can only be paid by those whose paper abstracts have been approved.

Participants are therefore encouraged to submit their abstracts and pay the registration fees as early as possible in order to receive the invitation letter in time for overseas travel arrangements. Outstanding papers presented at the conference will be given priority for publication in Translation Research and Teaching, a journal included in CSSCI and listed in the AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report of Chinese Journals of Humanities and Social Sciences.

If a visa is not approved and a refund of the conference fee is required, please submit your application with the official stamp of your institution’s International Cooperation Office by 10 July 2026. Applications received after this date will not be processed. 

Accommodation and meals are at the participant’s own expense. Participants are requested to make their own hotel reservations. The conference organizing committee can provide hotel information for reference upon request.
